Nkatcha seine on Lake Malombe: lined with mosquito netting, it catches mostly fish under 3cm long which are dried and used to flavour soup, so the lake yields about 200 tonnes of tiny fish per annum, (so I am told) instead of 10,000 t of high value tilapia in the 1980s.
